Oak bracket clock by Vulliamy. Beautifully proportioned oak bracket clock by Vulliamy number 1568 with 8 day fusee movement. The robust movement with half deadbeat escapement has 4 ringed pillars is signed and numbered on the backplate Vulliamy London No.1568. It sits on a seaboard and is held down with large brass wing style nuts. The heavy brass bobbed pendulum is also numbered with roller suspension and a very fine rating screw. A classic Vulliamy bracket clock of a style and type that was supplied to government offices and London clubs throughout the 19th Century.
